Udayapurgadhi is one of among 4 Rural Municipalities of Udayapur district. Panchawati is the headquarter of Udayapurgadhi. The total population is 30, 731 with land area coverage of 269.5 km2. This was the headquarter of Udayapur in past but due to political agenda and dynamics it was transfered to Gaighat in 1972 so the place remained under developed for years. This municipality have abundant number of potential attractive tourism sites which still need to be developed yet.
