Rauta Pokhari is one of the well known attractive tourism site among domestic as well international tourists. It is the transit point to Khotang district where pilgrims trek to visit “haleshi Temple” for worship. It is also a religious and historical site for hindu pilgrims. Rauta Pokhari is a fresh water pond located at an altitude of about 3000 meter above sea level in Rauta Rural Municipality. It is located at 40 km north from Gaighat. There is gravel road facility to do bike ride or travellers can also do adventerious trek (4-5 hours) from Sukaura to Rauta Pokhari crossing dense Rhododendron forest.
